Here are some clips from Joan Morris' columns, way back on 8-10-2020.
Morning report: Other people's pets and the messes they create have taken over three of Joan Morris' recent columns:
- Dogs in grocery stores: And in hotel breakfast rooms, according to a Palo Alto woman's horror story. "It’s bad enough to deal with this in my front yard," she says.
-Cats in the yard: A San Jose man is "way past frustrated" with the neighbor's cats spraying his shrubs, his furniture covers, his air conditioner condenser. What's a safe method for keeping them away?
-Crow chaos: Their peanuts bring all the birds to the yard. An annoyed San Jose neighbor wants to know: Is this feeding even legal?
For me: A wonderful neighbor walks his dog and gives me a warning that they're on their way. He took a photo of turkeys earlier this week.
Our mail-person, Shane, throws peanuts at the crows. I think he's trained them to expect it because they follow him when he's around.
Oh well, if that's what I'm complaining about...I'm very fortunate. And as I've said when I'm asked about 'how are you doing?' over the past 2+ years: "If I complain, you have the right to shoot me. So far no guns, no bullets, and I don't complain."
Carry on...but you do have the right to complain to me...because I'll listen to you until I get up and leave!
