This is one of many 'monstrosities' that are just a few blocks from me. I can't imagine where the occupants put their Halloween gear once the fun is over!
This past Monday and Tuesday I've had my plumbers here working on 'stuff.' The 'stuff' was my sump pump...and the tankless water heaters.
I've gotten so used to listening for the alarm IN the old sump, IN the middle of the night, that I actually thought I was hearing that screeching sound upstairs in my bedroom when I was sleeping, even though it had been removed!
The good news is that the pump works (as well as the new alarm(s), because the plumber tested it before he left and showed me how to deal with it.
I also had a local handyperson fix some drips in one of the apartments.
I may not be the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but I'm not the dimmest either. But I do know....that when something doesn't seem right....get the right professional to make it right! And you won't regret it! And you won't be paying for others to come in to re-do the fix.
What I really like is that neighbors/clients call me for recommendations. It is rare that I don't have the necessary vendors on my list, but I've been around the block for a number of years and because I regularly check with my vendors and friends to see who they use, and they are eager to share their names with me/us.
(By the way...as I was driving my car by a neighbor's house today....they had the same plumbing company over to fix...whatever. It was the van belonging to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing).
Next week I'll have more Halloween photos from the 'hood.
